IMPORTANT UPDATE – No Judo for two weeks!

In a change to messages given yesterday, there will be no Judo next week or the week after.

As you may be aware, Court Lane Academy is piloting a two week October half term break. We were originally told that school staff would be on site in the first week and the hall would be available.

We have been advised today that we will not be able to access the hall over the half term period, due to maintenance work scheduled by the Trust that manages the school – the skylights in the hall are being replaced, meaning there will be scaffolding in place. This was only communicated to the school yesterday.

This means there will be no Judo on the following dates:

  • 22 October
  • 24 October
  • 29 October
  • 31 October

The school have apologised for the late notice, we can only repeat this and apologise for the inconvenience.

No Judo tonight

We were advised late last night that the school site will be closed today (Thursday 2 November) due to Storm Ciaran. Therefore there will be no Judo tonight.

Classes will resume Tuesday 7 November.

No Judo over October half term

Please note that there will be no Judo over the October half term, due to planned maintenance at the school.

Dates affected are

  • Tuesday 24th
  • Thursday 26th

Classes will resume Tuesday 31st October.

No half term judo

Please not that due to school staff holidays and planned redecoration works, we are unable to access the school over February half term. There will be no judo therefore on the following dates:

  • Tuesday 14 February
  • Thursday 16 February

We have also been advised that due to cabling works we will not be able to run classes over Easter holidays.

No Judo over Easter holiday period

Please note there will be no Judo over the Easter holidays. We are unable to access the school site as there are no staff available.

Our last class will run on Thursday 7 April. The club will re-open on Tuesday 26 April.

The dates affected are:

  • Tuesday 7th April
  • Thursday 9th April
  • Tuesday 14th April
  • Thursday 16th April

Classes will recommence on Tuesday 21st April.

February half term – no judo

The school has confirmed that there will be no evening access to the premises over the half term period, so there will be no judo on the following dates:

  • Tuesday 18 February
  • Thursday 20 February

Classes will recommence as normal on Tuesday 25 February.

Don’t forget the Hampshire squad session on Sunday 16 February!

Local elections force club closure

Beast from the East no match for Judo!

Adverse temperatures are forecast this week, with possibility of snow.

At present we are envisaging no interruption to our judo classes – we have requested that the heating is left on, as we know how cold the hall can get.

If the school should advise us of any weather enforced closures, we will let you know as soon as possible, via the website, Facebook and Twitter feeds.

Christmas Judo

There will be a two week Christmas break this year.

Our final judo session will be on Thursday 21 December 2017.

The Club will reopen on Tuesday 9 January 2018.
