The Hampshire Junior squad sessions are arranged for our players to train together at regular intervals.
Players are requested to attend if they are able and attendance is used in team selections as the coaches will be aware of who is who and who may be excelling even out of their usual weight category.
Obviously the Hampshire county closed / Trials will identify players on the day but weights will change, if a player is borderline on weight or if unable to attend because of other trainings / competitions, decisions will be made to select the best county team for competitions such as the Intercounties.
If players cannot attend squad trainings then they are requested to inform the county manager prior to the training day of the reason for non attendance.
The next County Squad training will be arranged for the mid/end of October (22nd or 29th – date & venue to be confirmed), the November session will be 26/11/2017 invitation by Sussex County at Chichester Ronin judo club and there may be 2 sessions (subject to numbers) therefore if you wish to attend this event we need to know your name / age / weight, please advise if you are attending this training session before the October Squad training please & also note that Hampshire players will not be charged a mat fee by Sussex.
Sessions for the new year we aim to set the first Sunday of each month Jan – Apr so that everyone will know exactly what is on the calendar but we have to confirm dates & venues so please keep in touch.
